Softloom is a software studio. We build platforms, websites, apps, and the systems companies are actually run from.

The name is three things at once. Software. The loom that cloth gets made on. And space, which is where we would like to end up, and also, less grandly, where our website lives.

The mark is one thread that never breaks, tied into an orbit around a spool. Look at the spool the right way and it is a database. We would love to say we saw that on the first sketch. We saw it on about the ninth.

We weave rather than assemble. Cloth gets measured against the person who will wear it. So does a system.

Where we are aiming. Also, literally, our domain name.

Each system is sized to one client and one way of working. It takes longer. That is the whole point of it.

Ambitious

We take on the thing nobody has built yet. Most of our best work started that way, usually with a client who had been told it could not be done.

Steady

Clear about what we can do, honest about what we cannot, and still around after launch. The boring virtues.

Local by default

The currencies your customers actually hold. The payment methods they actually have access to. Tax rules that match what really gets filed. And proper Arabic on every screen. When a client outgrows their first market, the system goes with them.

Meet Harir

Harir means silk. He is a silkworm, he spins the Orbit Knot somewhere out among the stars, and he is considerably more relaxed about all of this than we are. He greets you in the 3D world and turns up inside the products to help.
